Q). How do I clean my sealed
floor?
A) Depending on the sealer
used for the surface there are two strategies;
a penetrating seal will handle aggressive
cleaning such as scouring and strong cleaning
products.
A surface sealer requires a gentler approach
ie soft mops, vacuum and non-aggressive
cleaning products. Rockstar will advise
you of the correct cleaning regime for
you sealer.
Q) How do I maintain my sealed
marble bench top?
A) Always use cutting
boards on marble bench tops to prevent
acid burns from acid based products such
as lemons, limes, tomato sauces, coke
and champagne.
Q) If we have a spillage on our
newly sealed floor what should we do?
A). Immediately wipe
up spillage with warm soapy water before
it dries.
Q) Can I use Vinegar to clean
my sealed stone floors and bench tops?
A) Vinegar is an acid
based product and will burn or etch a
polished stone surface.
Q) What do I do if red wine spills
on my sealed floor?
A) Mop up spillage immediately
with warm soapy water; contact Rockstar
if staining occurs.
Q) How do I remove leaf and pet
dropping stains from my sealed outdoor
paving?
A) Apply bleach or pool
chlorine to the sealed surface. Allow
30minutes to react with the stain then
hose off.
Q) Do I need any special equipment
to clean my sealed floor?
A) Rockstar sell a complete
cleaning kit or can advise if your current
cleaning equipment is appropriate.
Q) How often does my sealed surface
need re application?
A) All situations are
different based on use and cleaning regime
employed, but as a rough guide; surface
sealers should be reapplied every 3-6months
in a high traffic commercial situation
and approximately every 12months in an
average domestic situation.
